Novelrad is a growing start-up company, developing minimally invasive medical devices for cardiovascular procedures. We recently won the European Innovation Council (EIC) grant for leading startups.
We are looking for a talented and experienced mechanical engineer to join our R&D team. Our products are based on MIS technologies, micro mechanisms, Nitinol parts, plastic articles, 3D printing, and more.
Job Description:
You will be joining our R&D team as a leading mechanical engineer.
Your work will include:
• Promotion of concepts and improvements of existing and new products.
• Core design of products and jigs (3D models, drawing, BOMs, etc.).
• Physical and statistical calculations and simulations (including FEAs).
• Writing technical specs such as PRD, DMR, RM, production and assembly instructions and RA documentations.
• Addressing technical & clinical issues, materials selection, manufacturing technologies, and product performance validation.
• Participation in Ex-Vivo and In-Vivo studies, including QA activities.
• Participation in V&V activities, pre-clinical and FIH studies.
• Support of NPI and post marketing surveillance activities.
• Across the board production improvements.
• Participation in all the company’s workshop activities such as products integration and performance and usability tests.
Qualifications:
• B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering at one of the following institutions: Technion, Ben Gurion University, Tel Aviv University.
• 5 years of experience as an R&D mechanical engineer in an advanced technological environment.
Requirements:
• Extensive experience with Solidworks based engineering and MS Office.
• Strong technical skills with hands-on approach.
• High self-learning abilities.
• Team player, strong execution, communication & interpersonal skills.
• Hebrew - mother tongue; English - fluent.
Advantages:
• Experience in development of medical devices, particularly cardiovascular technologies.
• Experience with Nitinol and cardiovascular guiding systems.
• Experience in design of micro mechanisms.
• High analytical skills (physical analysis, simulations and FEAs).
• Knowledge in metallurgy and the design of injected plastics parts.
