RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the infrastructure and cloud solution, technical design and development for Company's data platform.
Lead, mentor, grow and manage a team of talented backend and data engineers.
Work closely with the product and infrastructure R&D teams to deliver the best data solution and insights over billions of daily events.
Design, Develop and Operate the data mesh and microservices architecture solutions from a wide variety of technologies such as kubernetes and other open source technologies/
Introduce new tools, extend open-source projects, conduct POCs on new technologies, and incorporate them in the development flow.
English level: Advanced
Experience: over 5 years
HARD SKILLS-MUST:
•You are a hands-on Team/Tech leader and you know how to manage engineering teams and drive people to success using Agile methodologies with a value oriented approach.
•You are a people person who knows how to plan, execute and maintain projects from design to production together with stakeholders and your teammates with interpersonal skills.
•You are the go-to person in technical decisions, knowledge on how to make distributed systems reliable and maintainable.
•3+ years of engineering management / Tech leadership experience.
•4+ years of practical experience with Scala/Python programming languages, excellent programming skills - functional programming, design patterns and data structures.
•Expert SQL queries knowledge - you know how to write efficient, low-latency queries vs modern data-warehouse solutions (BigQuery - preferred, Redshift, Athana etc) and building Streaming/Batch ETL using modern processing engines (Spark - preferred, Beam, Flask etc).
•Knowledge of working in microservices environments and building state-of-the-art data-driven solutions.
•Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals: object-oriented design, functional programming, data structures, multi-threading and distributed systems
•BSc Computer Science/Data Management or equivalent practical experience
•3+ years of Cloud provider experience (GCP, AWS, Azure)
DESIRED HARD SKILLS:
•Experience working blob storage solutions (hdfs, S3, GCS - preferred) - big advantage
•Experience working with CI&CD tools and devops solutions - big advantage
•Experience working with dockerize and kubernetes solutions - big advantage
