The Bookkeeper in SMO Israel is responsible for all day-to-day activities, including but not limited to bookkeeping, banks, Backoffice HR support, be part of the budgeting cycle preparations and support local team with any task.
the bookkeeper should be sharp, a hard worker, analytical, dedicated, able to complete a task on a timely manner, and give great attention to details, will oversee bank reconciliations, payments to suppliers inland and abroad, handling credit cards and petty cash.
This is a highly visible and hands-on role, partnering closely with the financial controller.
The position is based in SMO’S Israel office in Caesarea.
Essential Functions
1. Maintain accurate, thorough, and organized financial records in the company’s books
2. Managing all Accounts Payables activities including day to day reconciliations of all accounts in the system
3. Bank accounts reconciliation
4. Payments to suppliers and institutions including wires, checks and credit cards
5. Reimbursement expenses of employees in Israel and Travel abroad reports
6. Maintain relationships with vendors, including resolving any issues or discrepancies
7. Prepare the monthly report process including preparing of: Accruals as accrued exp., Prepaid exp. etc.
8. Open and review- PO’s tracking
9. Assisting external auditors throughout the yearly audit and quarterly reviews.
10. Assisting in preparations of the tax reports.
11. Collection
12. Credit card reconciliations
13. Support ERP system implementation process
14. Provide full Business Partnering support to the local and regional team.
15. Leading engagement with the preparation of the annual budget process and quarterly forecast preparation, in addition to the preparation of business cases to evaluate new propositions and proposals
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • At least 3-5 years of experience as a bookkeeper – Must
• Bookkeeping course 3
• Experience in overall accounting processes and ERP systems (billing/collections, payments/ Banks - Must)
• Experience working in global companies with a multi-currency environment.
• Familiarity with Priority – Advantage
• Experience with tax compliance (including estimated payments, VAT, Nikuim, Odfot, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Excel (filtering, lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
• Proven experience in all closing and providing a final balance sheet
• Team player with good interpersonal skills, but can work independently
• Highly organized and reliable with great attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written skills in English– Must, Russian – Advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, setting priorities, while respecting critical business delivery timelines.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
Work Environment: • This role is based in a local office which also serves as the company depo.

Education: Certified Senior Bookkeeper and with at least 5 years’ experience in the Global companies – advantage
